Our services

Addiction Treatment

Addiction is a life-long disease that requires commitment and perseverance to effectively treat. It often comes with co-occuring mental health conditions, such as depression, trauma, and suicidal ideation. As such, we recommend that those with opioid addiction work with a therapist to address the root of their substance abuse. We’re happy to refer our patients to mental health professionals if needed.

Suboxone

Our clinics primarily use medically-assisted treatment with Suboxone, “the best choice of opiate addiction” according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA). For proper treatment, though, the patient cannot simply report to the clinic to take their medication or pick up a prescription. To participate in a program using Suboxone, you need a supportive medical team, including a counselor trained in addiction and substance abuse.

The length of use for Suboxone varies from patient to patient. While some individuals may benefit from using the drug for only a short period of time, others require long-term therapy with continued monitoring.

At PriMed Addiction Services, we tailor our approach to each client and their specific needs. We have successfully treated hundreds of patients and would be honored to help you or your loved one.

How it Works

Since buprenorphine (brand name Suboxone) has a higher affinity for receptor sites, it expels existing opioids and blocks others from attaching. It offers a limited opioid effect, enough to to stop withdrawal but not enough to produce extreme euphoria. Buprenorphine dissipates over time, usually within 24 to 72 hours.
